Hi, I'm Travis.
I've spent years helping students navigate college. I know where students get stuck. And I know how much easier it is when you have the right teammate in your corner.
Working with students has taught me something pretty simple: you don't have to have everything figured out to keep moving forward.
The college process can feel like a complicated game. There are a lot of moving pieces, important decisions, deadlines, and moments when it's hard to know what to do next.

Is College Checkmate a college or admissions office?
No. College Checkmate is an independent educational coaching and student-support service. We help students organize, understand, and act on the college process.
Do you guarantee admission, scholarships, or financial aid?
No. College admissions and financial-aid decisions are made by schools and other third parties. We provide planning, coaching, accountability, and process guidance, but we do not guarantee outcomes.
Do you write essays or applications for students?
No. We coach, edit, ask questions, and give feedback. The student's work must remain their own.
What does the $210 monthly membership include?
It includes a personal roadmap, clear next-move guidance, two 30-minute strategy sessions per month, deadline tracking, weekly accountability, application and essay coaching, financial-aid and scholarship process guidance, parent progress updates, and quick-question support between sessions.
Can I cancel?
Yes. The membership is recurring monthly and may be canceled for future billing in accordance with the Client Services Agreement and Cancellation Policy. Fees already charged for a current service period are generally not prorated unless required by law.
Is this only for students applying to four-year colleges?
No. College Checkmate can support students exploring multiple postsecondary paths, including two-year and four-year colleges, as long as the requested services fit our educational coaching scope.
